What is Microsoft CSP?

by | 6th September 2023

If you work with any Microsoft products, you need to ensure they are fully licensed to maintain compliance and support.

The Microsoft CSP (Cloud Solution Provider) programme was launched to allow customers to purchase Microsoft cloud services such as Azure, Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 from a trusted partner, rather than directly from Microsoft. Windows Server subscription licenses can also be purchased via CSP.

Chalkline are a CSP Direct Bill Partner

Microsoft CSP Partners come in different flavours. The most common option is Indirect Reseller, where IT providers work with a distributor to purchase their licenses.

Chalkline are a Direct Bill partner, which means we work directly with Microsoft, without any middlemen. We offer this as part of our IT Procurement service.

Flexibility

One of the benefits of choosing a Microsoft CSP partner is that you can get access to exclusive discounts, incentives and promotions that are not available through other channels.

You can also enjoy more flexible billing options, such as monthly or annual payments, and pay only for what you use.

Consultancy & Advice

If you transact your cloud consumption via Chalkline, we can offer advice on your license selection to ensure you are on the best value subscriptions for your business.

We can also provide regular reporting for licenses that are assigned to your users.

Better Support

As part of a Chalkline Managed Service offering, we provide a tailored support experience to your team, ensuring that any challenges or concerns are swiftly addressed with minimal impact to your operations.

As part of our Microsoft relationship, we invest in enhanced levels of support (known as Advanced Support for Partners or ASfP) which we can engage to help with escalations and more complex issues.
