At Chalkline, we are committed to integrating sustainable practices into our operations. This document outlines our approach to sustainability, including our environmental policies, social responsibility initiatives, ethical practices, and sustainability goals.
Environmental Responsibility
We carry out a number of practices to be as eco-friendly as possible, while still delivering quality service. These include:
- Offering extended warranties on devices to ensure they are usable for as long as possible
- We extend the lifespan of our equipment through regular maintenance, refurbishment, and upgrades. This reduces the need for new equipment and minimises waste
- Offering refurbished machines where applicable, to provide a second chance to hardware which may have been returned or been overstock
- WEEE recycling of old hardware
- Recyclable waste is separated from normal waste and collected for recycling
- Packaging is reused for sending out equipment or additional items
- We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint by using video conferencing to reduce travel
- Chalkline are proud to work with Ecologi to plant trees each month for every Chalkline employee.
Within our office, we also ensure we are only consuming the energy required:
- Devices only run whilst in use
- Lighting runs on PIRs so are only on when there is someone present
- Water is only heated on demand
- Air conditioning is set on sustainable schedule to extend lifespan and minimise energy usage
Social Responsibility
We engage with our local communities where possible, including apprenticeship programmes.
We prioritise the wellbeing of our employees by providing a safe and healthy work environment, promoting work-life balance, and offering wellness programmes.
Ethical Practices
We ensure that our supply chain adheres to ethical standards by selecting suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability and ethical practices
